How to use TikTok without the For You page on iPhone

Why For You is the hard part

For You is TikTok's main feed: an endless run of short videos, mostly from accounts you don't follow, chosen one after another to keep you watching. TikTok has a Following tab, but For You is still one tap away, and the app is built around it. As far as we know, as of October 2026 there's no setting in TikTok that removes it.

What Stillfeed changes on TikTok

Stillfeed loads tiktok.com, the real TikTok website, signed into your own account. As of October 2026:

• The For You feed is removed.
• TikTok opens to Following, so you start with the creators you chose.

What still works

• Following: videos from accounts you follow.
• Friends: the feed from your friends.
• Profiles: any @username page, so you can visit a creator on purpose.
• Inbox and messages: reply to friends and open the videos they send.
• Search: look for a specific video, sound or person.
• Login: you sign in to TikTok directly; your details go to TikTok, never to Stillfeed.

Stillfeed never changes your TikTok account, who you follow or your videos. No Stillfeed account is needed.

Free or Pro?

Open Stillfeed's settings to see which TikTok options are included free and which come with Pro. The Instagram and YouTube part (Reels, Shorts and Explore removed) is free for everyone from the first launch. Stillfeed Pro is optional and adds things like a daily time limit.

How to set it up

1. Download Stillfeed from the App Store and open it.
2. Pick TikTok.
3. Log in as you normally would.
4. Browse. TikTok opens to Following, and For You is gone.

Make it stick

Stillfeed only changes the TikTok you open inside Stillfeed. The official TikTok app keeps its usual For You feed. If you keep it on your home screen, habit will win most days. So:

• Delete the TikTok app, or at least move it off your home screen.
• Put Stillfeed in the spot TikTok used to be.
• If you'd rather keep the app for posting, give it a short Screen Time limit. Stillfeed vs Screen Time explains how the two work together.

Trade-offs to know about

• It's the website, not the app. TikTok's website can differ from the app, and some app-only features may not be available there.
• Following can still be a lot. If you follow many very active accounts, the Following feed can be long. Unfollowing a few helps.
• iPhone only. There's no Android version.

Can you turn off the For You page on TikTok?

Not in the TikTok app itself, as far as we know as of October 2026. You can switch to the Following tab, but For You is still there. Stillfeed opens tiktok.com with the For You feed removed, so TikTok opens to Following.

Can I still message friends on TikTok through Stillfeed?

Yes. Your inbox and messages stay available, along with the Friends and Following feeds, profiles and search.

Can I still watch a TikTok someone sends me?

Yes. Messages and profiles (@username pages) still work, so you can open what friends send you and look up the creators you follow.

Is the TikTok part of Stillfeed free?
