About Stillfeed
Stillfeed is an independent iPhone app for people who want to use social media on purpose: answer the message, watch the video you came for, and leave without being pulled into an endless feed.
Why Stillfeed exists
Most people don’t want to quit Instagram or YouTube. They want to reply to a friend, check a post from someone they follow, or look up one video, and then put the phone down. The hard part is that the apps are built around endless feeds like Reels, Shorts and Explore, which are designed to keep you watching long after you meant to stop.
Stillfeed takes those feeds out and leaves the rest. It is an in-app browser that opens the real websites of Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Reddit, Snapchat and LinkedIn, signed into your own account, and hides the infinite-scroll parts before they load. The core blocking is free from the first launch, with no trial and no account. An optional Pro upgrade adds deeper controls such as Stories and Feed blocking, a DMs-only mode and a daily time limit.
Who makes Stillfeed
Stillfeed is made by Gokhan Tosun, who builds the app and writes the guides on this site. You can reach him directly at the address under Contact.
What we believe
- Keep the app, lose the feed. Messages, search and the people you follow are useful. The endless, algorithm-chosen feed is the part that eats the evening.
- Change the setup, not your willpower. Removing the trigger works better than fighting it every time.
- No dark patterns of our own. No fake urgency, no invented ratings, and the free tier stays free.
- Your accounts stay yours. Stillfeed never changes your accounts and doesn’t record what you see or type on the platforms. The details are in our privacy policy.
How we write our guides
The blog and platform guides are written by Gokhan Tosun. He follows a few rules:
- Claims about research, health or official classifications link to their primary source, such as the WHO, the American Psychiatric Association or the U.S. Surgeon General.
- Instructions and platform behaviour are dated (“as of October 2026”), because apps change. Pages are updated when what they describe changes, and show the date they were last updated.
- The guides say plainly where Stillfeed fits and where it doesn’t, including when Screen Time or simply deleting an app is the better choice.
- Nothing here is medical advice. If social media use is seriously affecting your life, the guides point you to professional support.
Independent
Stillfeed is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, X Corp, Reddit, Snap, LinkedIn or TikTok/ByteDance. It loads their public websites in a built-in browser.
