About Stillfeed
One line
Stillfeed is a free iPhone app that removes Reels, Shorts and Explore from Instagram and YouTube, so you can keep the apps without the endless feed.
Short description
Stillfeed is an in-app browser for iPhone that loads the real Instagram and YouTube, signed into your own account, and removes Reels, Shorts and Explore before they appear. Instagram opens to your Following feed. Messages, friends and the creators you chose stay; the bottomless parts don’t. Blocking is free from the first launch, with no account and no sign-up.
Longer description
Most people don’t want to quit Instagram or YouTube. They want to answer a message or watch the video they came for without losing forty minutes to Reels and Shorts. Neither app offers a setting to turn those feeds off, and Screen Time can only limit or block the whole app, messages included.
Stillfeed takes a different approach. It’s an in-app browser for iPhone that loads instagram.com and youtube.com, signed into the user’s own account, and hides Reels, Shorts and Explore before they’re shown. Instagram opens to the Following feed. The same browser also opens X, Reddit, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn with their endless and recommendation feeds stripped back. Stillfeed never changes the user’s accounts, and their login details go straight to each platform.
The blocking is free from the first launch, with no trial and no sign-up. An optional Stillfeed Pro upgrade adds Stories and Feed blocking, a DMs-only mode and a daily time limit.
